- OUR ICONIC STYLES OF DESIGNER KAFTANS -
Our Manhattan Silk Designer Kaftans have become a recognisable style by British born designer Lindsey Brown, the creative director behind Lindsey Brown resort wear. Every piece in her collection takes you away to a sunshine state of mind and her Manhattan top transforms you to more exotic times, dreaming of golden sands and crystal clear waters. Since her first collection this stunning silk designer top, named The Manhattan has increased in popularity each season, growing from 1-2 colourways to 4-8 new fashionable colour options every year. This season introduces two new fabulous colourways of the Manhattan Designer Kaftans in Flamingo and Sea Breese, that sit alongside best selling classic colours. Of course these new colours are greatly received by the fashion aware stylish holiday maker, who adds their name to the waiting list, to be one of the lucky first to own the latest Manhattan colourway.
Creating the latest collection of beautiful designer kaftans takes time. Lindsey studies colour trends, fashion trends, travel destination trends and combines all of this with her resort wear knowledge of what women want to wear and of course adding in her own personal style. Teamed with 3 signature accents in hand beaded sequins that pick out elements of the Lindsey Brown luxury resort wear collection. The Manhattan top originally took its inspiration from an eclectic mix. Think Studio 54, 70's disco meets Carrie Bradshaw in Barbados with an Aztec twist and it works due to the floaty silk style of the Manhattan top and the one block colour feature of this top.
A Manhattan Silk Kaftan Top is a statement piece but its a statement that you are truly stylish. When you wear Lindsey Brown Resort Wear Manhattan Designer Kaftans you feel instantly feminine and fabulous.
Of course Lindsey has one of every colour in her wardrobe, as it’s her go to top for holidays, press events and parties as it is so versatile to wear. Add light weight white or black slim fitting pants for parties and events, team with tailored shorts and metallic wedges for pool side nights. - NEW STYLES FOR 2021 -
Acapulco is one of our New Silk Designer Kaftans by Lindsey Brown Resort Wear. If you love our Manhattan Designer Kaftans, you will love this style, as Acapulco is a stunning new style of Designer Beach Cover ups inspired by our popular Capri and Manhattan designer kaftans. For the Acapulco Lindsey has chosen block colours that pay homage to the colour palette of a Slim Aarons Miami Poolside scene. Acapulco has a beautiful trim of flat white hand sewn sequins. Designed with a deep V back and coordinating hand dyed silk ties finished with a crystal that will keep it perfectly on the shoulders. Acapulco is a new timeless classic that will wow year after year.
- NEW TIE DYE STYLES -
Our designer kaftan tie dye techniques we use at Lindsey Brown resort wear, truly are an art form, hand crafted by skilled artisans in India, transforming Lindsey Browns designs onto fabric. Our whole process of our traditional Indian tie dye techniques, to make our designer kaftans, can take days to make. Typically tie dye involves twisting dry fabric and layering dyes to create bold patterns and the level of intensity of the dye depends on how the fabric is folded.
